Sthlm., Sweden, Aug. 12, 2004 - TagMaster AB announced today that they have extended their agreement with HID toinclude iCLASS™ technology into TagMaster products under HID's iCLASS Development Partner Program. The objective of the agreement is to provide integrated solutions for personal and vehicle access control with the combined technologies.
The first product developed under the iCLASS partner program will be the S1260/02 iCLASS CombiTag that combines TagMaster's long-range Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI) system with the latest iCLASS technology from HID. This unique access control card combines TagMaster's 2.45 GHz AVI system with HID's iCLASS 13.56 MHz contactless smart card technology and are packed in one convenient 3 mm thick credit card sized unit. Prior to the release of the S1260/02 iCLASS CombiTag, TagMaster previously introduced the S1260/01 CombiTag, which was a combination of HID's 125 kHz proximity technology and TagMaster long-range AVI.
"The new iCLASS CombiTag provides a high-performance, long-range card read solution for HID customers," said Holly Sacks, HID's vice president of Marketing. "This is an excellent example of how incorporating iCLASS technology expands HID's application reach into areas such as parking and fleet management."
