Irvine, CA (November 21, 2001) HID's office in the Netherlands has announced a strategic new hire to increase their ability to provide localized service and convenient customer and technical support. HID's European headquarters in England supports distribution, reduces shipping times and increases convenience to European customers by stocking products, taking orders and dealing in local currency. The UK office also provides full card programming in the required European formats.
Thomas Uhlemann has joined HID as Regional Sales Manager, covering the German and Austrian territories. Thomas previously worked as Export Manager for Ademco Germany for 10 years, managing sales in Germany and the Middle East. Thomas speaks Russian, Hungarian, German and English. He reports to Mark Ritterling, Director of Sales for Central Europe.
To assist German customers, HID's MiniProx, ThinLine and ProxPoint Plus readers now come packaged with a single installation manual translated into German. In addition, HID's web site has been translated into German. HID's Family and Credential product brochures will be translated by the end of this year. The Reader product brochure, How To Order Guide and several technical documents will be translated the first quarter of 2002.
