New Office is Opened in Tokyo, Japan
Tokyo, Japan (May 14, 2002) Ryan Okuda has been promoted to Director of Business Development for HID Corporation. After working at HID's headquarters in Irvine, California the past 11 years, Ryan has established an office in Tokyo, Japan. In his new position, Ryan's focus will shift from operations, manufacturing and engineering to sales and customer relations. The opening of the Japan office is another step in HID's ongoing effort to make doing business easier for international customers.
Ryan's previous position at HID was Director of Manufacturing Engineering, where he developed and maintained production and process equipment. He joined HID in December of 1991, and has also held the positions of Applications Engineer and Manager of Manufacturing Engineering. Before joining HID, Ryan worked for PCSC, where he was a product development/electronics engineer. He earned a B.S. degree in Biomedical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
"Ryan's relocation brings extensive experience to HID's business development efforts in Japan, and he is a welcome addition to the Asia Pacific team," said William Burns, HID's Director of Asia Pacific Sales.
Okuda added, "As one of the largest economies in the world, Japan presents many challenges and opportunities. I am hoping my experience in engineering, operations, manufacturing and sales support will enable me to enhance HID's relationship with current customers, and gain the trust and respect of new customers."
