The position:


You will be part of the Inside Sales team in APAC, working together with a dynamic and multi-cultural sales department. Your role will consist of identifying and generating sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound activities to maximize and expand EAT sales opportunities. You will conduct outbound communications and campaigns with HID Customers, strategic business alliances, leads and prospects to provide consistent product knowledge expertise for HID Extended Access Technologies Products (RFID & Biometrics) with the goal of generating new opportunities.

You will receive and process inbound inquiries related to HID Solutions and/or services and manage relationships with customers and contacts making use of the CRM tools supporting all customers in APAC.

Direct channel customer responsibilities may be assigned for a set of given customers in APAC.


What we are looking for:

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follow-up on inbound marketing leads with focus on lead qualification and lead conversion into opportunities.
  • Prospect research for identified verticals and cold call, emailing into prospects generated.
  • Develop opportunities for the sales team from prospecting.
  • Identify key players, researching and obtaining business requirements, and presenting solutions to begin sales cycle.
  • Set appointments for sales team when a lead reaches a qualified stage.
  • Nurture new marketing leads by educating and developing prospects until they are ready to speak with a field sales rep.
  • Quickly learn the product, effectively communicate the value proposition and be able to react to objections and competitive questions.
  • Drive attendance for webinars and live seminars, set meetings for conferences.
  • Provide support to trade shows. Qualify and follow through leads to identify opportunities.
  • Maintain awareness of all marketing campaigns and messaging.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing team members on strategic sales approach.
  • Ensure successful follow through of sales cycle and track all relevant qualification and lead management activity using SalesForce (CRM).
  • Attend product trainings/webinars as assigned.
  • Adapt to changes internally as well as in the business marketplace.
  • Ongoing development of sales and technical skills.
  • Understand needs/mandates of certain verticals (i.e. Healthcare, Retail, Government)
  • Develop understanding of use cases across all product offerings.
  • Grasp knowledge of competitors in the marketplace.
  • Understand aspects of pricing and quoting.
  • Ability to close deals.
  • Plan and conduct presentation of HID Solutions to customers via phone, on-line tools and email.
  • Continuous learning of product enhancements. Communicate product updates to customers, including End of Life (EOL), new technology introduction, product change notice.
  • Occasional visits with Sales team to major accounts on regular business review.
  • Provide timely submission of monthly reports, expense reports and other related action items as required by senior management.

  • Excellent selling skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic phone presence.
  • Up to date telecommunication and cold call skills, as well as good interpersonal skill.
  • Demonstrated success in prospecting.
  • The ability to understand how to assess a company’s needs and cater the outreach to each prospect specifically.
  • Effective and proven contact management database skills.
  • Demonstrated time management, communication, decision-making, presentation, and organization skills.
  • Extremely self-motivated with a diligent work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously and complete short-term and/or long-term tasks and project assignments on time.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Must have the ability to work with and deal with various languages and cultures.
  • Professional appearance and presentation are required. 
  • Must demonstrate customer focused mentality.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree (or better) or equivalent training and experience in sales, or customer service organization.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in tele-sales, inside sales, sales development, or account management. Experience in supporting direct OEM accounts in the Security market is an advantage.


Language Skills        

  • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.               


Computer Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
  • Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, Web based tools or CRM tools like SalesForce.
  • Technology background and/or ability to learn new technologies considered a plus.


Work Requirements

  • Travel and fieldwork include international travel; therefore, employee must possess or can acquire a valid Passport.
  • Must have appropriate business attire for meetings and tradeshows.
